Heather Wood CKDNZ
Heather Wood is an NKBA Certified Kitchen Designer and Managing Director of Stewart Scott Cabinetry. Her knowledge and experience in design and manufacturing, has been gained over 30 years in their family business.
In an industry which is ever changing, Heather keeps up to date with overseas design trends, products and manufacturing methods. She has an in depth passion and flair for design which shows in the many successful kitchens she has created over the years and the glowing testaments and repeat business from her many clients.
“A kitchen that works well and looks great” gives Heather a great deal of satisfaction!
Rebecca Banks CKDNZ
Third generation into the business, Rebecca has enjoyed working for the family’s business over the past 10 years which has included seeing her complete her Certified Kitchen Designer qualification CKDNZ in 2011. During her time with the company she has gained a thorough understanding of the design, manufacture and installation process as well as the running of a successful kitchen business in New Zealand’s market.
Rebecca has an easy going nature, and enjoys working with clients to help them create and understand the functions of their dream kitchen. She is always keen to keep up with her product knowledge and latest industry trends & launches.
Alexis has a background in Fashion, Retail / Office Space Design , Interior Design and Home Renovation. Alexis has a passion for designing Kitchens, Laundries and anything that can create more storage and a better use of space available. “I love creating a Kitchen that has all of my client’s needs and wants included, while having the functionality , look (and Storage) that suits their lifestyle and exceeds their expectations”
Alexis is currently working toward her National Certificate in Kitchen Design and CKD accreditation.
With a background in visual arts and photography, kitchen design was a natural progression for Melanie. From residential new builds and renovations, to large scale projects Melanie has gained a wealth of experience in kitchen design over the past 3 years. Melanie enjoys working with her clients to turn their ideas into reality and loves to research new trends and ideas to incorporate into her designs. Melanie has recently gained her National Certificate in Kitchen Design and is currently working on a Diploma in Architectural Technology.
Vivian is a qualified kitchen designer with a Degree in Interior Design & Visual Art (BDVA), majored in Interior Architecture and a Certificate in Interior Decoration. As a designer for over 5 years, she is qualified with skills, knowledge and experience in interior Design, Kitchen Design, Color Scheme and House Staging, as well as building management and operations. Previously worked as a project manager and site manager renovating and building residential houses for over 4 year,Vivian has a broad experience in the construction industry
Certified Designers Society
A Certified Kitchen (CDS) or Bathroom Designer is a professional who is qualified by education and experience to research, design, plan and supervise the installation of your kitchen and or bathroom project whether it is a renovation or a new build, a Certified Designer will help you achieve your dreams.
Once a designer has completed and passed the required level of the NZQA National Diploma in Kitchen Design qualification, they may apply to become a Certified Designer with the Certified Designers Society. These credentials are internationally recognised and acknowledge a minimum of four years design industry experience.
Alongside having met the criteria to become a Certified Kitchen or Bathroom Designer, Certified Designers also actively participate in On-going Professional Development by learning about newest available products, design solutions, building regulations and design trends which give the consumer – you – the benefit of knowing you are working with a certified professional in the industry.
