Here you can find a quick outline of our simple process

You can sit back and relax while we do the work

Step 1  Initial consultation
This time is spent getting to know what you would like in your kitchen, your vision for your kitchen, your kitchen needs and wants. You could bring in architect’s plans and drawings or measure your kitchen space and bring us a dimensioned drawing.

Step 2  Site visit
When we come to do a site visit, we meet in your home, measure the space accurately and get to experience and discuss the layout with you. In many cases we are able to offer helpful advice or make suggestions on architectural changes which impact the kitchen design.

Step 3  Initial concept development and presentation
We meet in the showroom and present our initial concepts and provide a budget estimate. You select the concept to take to the next step. We release plans and drawings when you commit to working with us and pay your deposit.

Step 4  Finalise plans, product and colour specifications
The detailed design stage involves considerable design time and attention to detail in order to produce accurate plans and elevations. Research time is required in order to specify the appropriate cabinetry, hardware, waste bins, sinks, taps and appliances and to obtain quotes for benchtops, splashbacks and any custom cabinetry. We communicate regularly, presenting detailed design drawings in the form of plans, elevations and 3D images.

Step 5  Accepting our Quote and Design
We work together and consult with you to finalise all aspects of the design and specifications. We finalise the budget and sign a purchase agreement.  At this point we require a deposit of 50% in order to start the production.

Step 6  Final Site check
We arrange a time with you for one of our senior installers to meet in your home and complete a final check of all the room measurements, utilities and note any requirements that we need to confirm prior to manufacturing your design. We prefer to complete the final site checks after the walls have been gibbed, but if necessary a stud to stud final site check can be arranged.

Step 7 Final Sign off of Plans
Following our final site check, the information is transferred back to your designer from the installer, and your designer prepares for you a detailed set of drawings and will go through these with you to ensure that you understand the products and design you are going to receive from us. We ask that you sign off on these final plans, and a copy of the plans are given to you to keep as a reference, and to share with your other trades people involved in the project.

Step 8  Production (manufacture)
We manufacture your kitchen in our factory, and tentatively book in an installation date to work to. Generally you should allow around 4-6 weeks for the manufacturing process dependant on the materials chosen for your design. You are welcome to arrange a time to visit us an pre inspect the kitchen in the factory.

Step 9  Delivery and installation
One week before delivery we require the remaining 50% balance of the agreement to be paid and your delivery date will need to be confirmed.  Our friendly delivery man carefully loads up your kitchen cabinetry into our own transport, and will call you to let you know he is on the way to your home. The installer will meet him on site and will help unload the cabinetry inside, either straight into the room where it is being installed, or the adjacent room. Installation normally takes between 3-5 days for medium sized kitchens.

Step 10  Benchtop templating, manufacture and installation
Bench top templating, if required, takes place as soon as the cabinets are installed. Templated benchtops generally take around 2-3 weeks to be manufactured and then they are installed. The sub-trades electrical, plumbing, gas fitting, ducting and building complete connections and final works. If you are having Laminated Benchtops, these will be installed in the same timeframe as the cabinetry.

Step 11  Splashback templating, manufacture and installation
Splashback templating takes place after the benchtop is installed. Splashbacks generally take around 2-3 weeks to be manufactured and then they are installed.

Step 12 Signoff
Once you are fully satisfied that everything has been completed according to the agreement, you sign off completion of your new kitchen, and enjoy your lovely new space with your Family and Friends. We ask that you visit our website www.mykitchenwarranty.co.nz to register your details which provides us with the necessary information should you need to contact us in the future.

Step 13 Referral Rewards
We love it when our customers are happy, and really appreciate you sharing the great experience you’ve had with us to your family and friends. When you refer someone to come and see us we reward you with a $50 shopping voucher when they become a confirmed client.
